Making money – mighty phrase told by my current guest Frank. He really made me think.
If you have aproach like Frank, then you’re not making a big deal out of money. Same deal as making the cake or organising trip.
You are working, doing this and that in exchange for money, which is compensation for energy you’ve invested.
If you free yourself from earning money, you can see the bigger picture. More realistic.
Money is resource. It doesn’t define you. You don’t always need money to help someone. As yesterday, an old lady aproached to me at shopping mall. Her hands were shaking. She couldn’t open the bottle of ice-tea she bought minutes ago. Obviously have Parkinson disease. No money needed to give a helping hand, to be greatful for your health, your healthy family, to everything you got. No money needed to show love, care…to hug.
Therefore, we gave such a big value to money. To earn it, to deserve it…
The same way you make money, you can plant tomatoes in the garden. You just need to know how much tomatoes you need. You will not plant seed for 20-30 tomato plants if you don’t need that much. Also you will not plant seed for 2 tomato plants if you need 10.
If we compare tomatoes with money and making money, then we have a goal, like Frank (my bnb guest from begining). He bought terrain for his own house here. He wants to live in Croatia. And he is building another house for rent. For all that he made money and now he need to make more money to finish what he started.
He knows his goal. He knows the numbers. He is focused.
Any of us can be Frank. But we get lost on the way…
When we resolve the question of EGO, we resolved everything. Is your goal to live morgage free, or save for house, or buy a new car? Doesn’t matter. We need to ask ourselves how many time do we need to achive that… how much money do we need to make? When the focus is clear and you know you can make the money, you don’t doubt, you don’t question yourself and you easily follow your goal.
And you don’t get lost on your way like a Little Red Riding Hood, when you know you are going to grandma.
End of story.
